Which ones are set, who sets them and how to avoid them.
Signing in installs a single cookie, named kadiepost_session, which keeps your session open. It expires after 24 hours, is not accessible from JavaScript and only travels over an encrypted connection. Signing out deletes it.
Your theme (light or dark) and language are stored in the browser local storage, under the keys kadiepost_tema and kadiepost_idioma. These are not cookies: they are never sent to the server and never leave your device. They exist so your choice is still there next time.
They are removed by clearing the site data from your browser.
The site shows Google AdSense advertising, and Google may set its own cookies from its domains to select adverts, cap how often you see the same one and measure performance. Those cookies are set by Google, not by KadiePost, and are governed by its policies; you can turn off ad personalisation in Google ad settings, and block or delete cookies in your browser.
No analytics or social network cookies are installed: there is no Google Analytics and no social buttons that track you.
None of this happens until you accept it. The first time you visit, a notice appears at the bottom with two options; Google’s code is not loaded into the page until you press “Accept”, so if you decline or do not answer, no Google cookie is set and nothing is sent to its servers. Your answer is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, and you can change it by clearing the site data.
If you decline, you read exactly the same thing. The only difference is that you will only see the advertising we serve from this domain, which uses no cookies.
